We are certified B Corp & the highest scoring distillery in England
Putting People and Planet on Equal Terms with Profit. In March 2025, after a detailed and rigorous assessment, we became a certified B Corporation. It’s a milestone we’re proud of — joining a growing movement of UK businesses who, like us, believe that profit should never come at the expense of people or the planet.
So, what does it mean to be a B Corp? Certification is awarded by the non-profit B Lab to companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. It’s a sign that we’re not just making great spirits — we’re doing it in a way that puts care for the community and the natural world at the heart of every decision.
For us, it’s simple: business should be a force for good. Becoming a B Corp isn’t the end goal — it’s a commitment to keep learning, improving, and pushing for better

B Corp Certified
Our score: 124.4
We were proud to achieve a B Corp score of 124.4 — well above the UK B Corp average of 88 and far exceeding the 50.9 median score of a standard business.
That score places Witchmark as the highest-scoring distillery in England.
It’s a recognition of the values that shape everything we do, with particularly strong scores in both environmental and
community impact.
From sourcing locally and investing in renewable energy, to partnering with like-minded organisations and supporting our Wiltshire community, we believe in doing business with care and purpose.
Becoming a B Corp is more than a certification — it’s a commitment to accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. We’re proud to be part of a growing movement using business as a force for good.

What we're doing now
At Witchmark, sustainability isn’t an afterthought — it’s built into every step we take.

We source our barley from Fonthill Farm located just metres from our distillery, where regenerative agriculture helps restore soil health and support biodiversity.
Our stills run on bio-liquid propane gas — a renewable fuel made from eco-road sources that’s around 40% more sustainable than fossil fuels.
Our distillation process captures and reuses heat, keeping energy use efficient. We’re also planning a 100kW solar array for our warehouse roof, bringing clean, renewable energy into the heart of our operations.
Waste doesn’t go to waste here either: spent grains feed local cattle, while leftover botanicals and byproducts are sent to a nearby anaerobic digester to become renewable energy.
We bottle our spirits in 100% recycled glass and ensure all our packaging meets rigorous environmental standards — because we believe every element matters.
Beyond production, we partner with like-minded organisations that prioritise community, equity, and environmental stewardship.
We know we’re only one business — but we believe in setting a high bar and showing what’s possible.
