The The Wiltshire Distilling Company embarked on our B Corp journey in 2023 after recognising its alignment with our core values. We saw it as an opportunity to formalise our commitment to creating a business that thrives across profit, people, and planet. Since beginning this journey, we have achieved significant improvements across our operations and identified a clear pathway for continuous enhancement.

Community

As part of our B Corp certification process, we were thrilled to unlock several Impact Business Models, each designed to create meaningful benefits for our stakeholders. Our efforts have primarily focused on supporting our local community and economy, with key commitments including:

• Designed to Give: We have pledged to donate at least 2% of our annual revenue to charitable causes.
• Local Economic Development: We have committed to sourcing at least 50% of our core products from local independent suppliers.

Environment

From the outset, we recognised the potential environmental impact of distilleries and were determined to be a leader in sustainability. To this end, we have made significant investments in innovative, market-leading manufacturing processes and infrastructure to minimise our environmental footprint and contribute positively to nature.

• Energy: We have implemented an energy efficient heat management system that reuses and stores heat in the process several times to drastically reduce energy consumption during production. Additionally, we will be installing solar panels at our distillery to further lower our energy needs.
• Water: Our distillation process is designed to minimise water usage, and we are continually exploring new efficiencies. Our distillery draws water from our own borehole on the Fonthill Estate, providing a unique, local ingredient for our products.
• Ingredients: In line with our commitment to both the environment and our local community, we source key ingredients locally, including grains from the Fonthill Estate. This approach not only supports the local economy but also reduces transportation, enhances supply chain transparency, and ensures the highest quality products for our customers.
